How can I also have a child since I've been married for 6 years and have done uterus scans and analyses, and I don't know what to use or what analyses to do to achieve a pregnancy because I am very stressed and I am 36 years old, please inform me

Sent by Aferdita nga kosova, më 23 April 2013 në 13:17

Hello Aferdita,

In order to be accurate in my judgment of your case, I need to closely look at the results of the tests and examinations you have done so far. As a start, it is good for you to do a hormonal profile, an ultrasound examination, hysterosalpingography, and for your husband to do a spermiogram. The results of these examinations and tests should be consulted with an OB/GYN specialist.
If you need my help, you can contact me at any time through my email address: arjolamusta@hotmail.com

I wish you all the best

Hello Dr. Arjola, I am a 35-year-old woman suffering from vaginal infections. I want to get pregnant. This doctor here has given me medication several times, but the infection returns. Can you give me any advice? Will I be able to get pregnant after I get treated?

Sent by Silva, më 21 September 2023 në 21:31

Hello Mrs. Silva,

I understand your concern. Vaginal infections can affect the ability to get pregnant and reproduce. But firstly, the cause of your repeated infections must be addressed. To give a concrete opinion, a physical examination and medical history would be helpful, as well as repeating a vaginal swab and antibiogram to identify the infecting microbe and the sensitivity of antibiotics to fight the infection. I also recommend considering a Pap test (if you have not done it in the last 3 years). It is important that in cases of sexually transmitted infections, the partner is also treated, who if not treated simultaneously with you can serve as a vector to return the infection to you even after you have been treated before.
Let's start with treating the infection. Meanwhile, if you wish, you can share with me your previous analyses and examinations so that I can give you a concrete opinion about the steps to be followed for you to achieve pregnancy soon. All the best, Dr. Arjola

Doctor, how are you? Please, I want to ask you a question, my daughter is about to be born and they told us about the umbilical cord, they mentioned something about storing it publicly because private was expensive. What do you think, should we keep it? Since it's our first time here and we are a bit confused? Thank you

Sent by Dori, më 24 September 2023 në 10:36

Hello Mrs. Dori, after birth, the umbilical cord normally dries up and falls off after delivery. Over the last few years, it has become possible for the blood taken from inside the umbilical cord immediately after the baby's birth to be stored in banks created for this purpose. The stored blood contains "stem cells" or progenitor cells which can be used throughout the child's life to treat more than 70 life-threatening diseases such as immune diseases, cancers, etc. If you decide to store the umbilical cord in public banks, the costs are lower but it may be made available for scientific research or for other patients in need. If you decide to store it in private banks, it is processed and stored only for the child or his/her relatives but the storage costs are very high. According to the few studies that have been published, the chances that the child will need these stem cells during their life have not been reported to be very high so far. This is also because this is a new 'phenomenon' that will take its own time to better understand the benefits that the child may receive during life in relation to the storage costs. I wish your daughter an easy birth and a healthy child
