Hello Dr. Artidi, I am a resident in orthopedic surgery, please assist me with an examination to take a look.
Right hip joint radiography, AP
Report:
- There are no fractures or bone destruction.
- There is no loss of bone density.
Massive osteophytes are noted on the margins of the acetabulum and on the margins of the articular surface of the femoral head, more so laterally: the femoral head is deformed, and the articular surface is flattened. The articular surfaces are very sclerotic and irregular. There is lateral and upward migration of the femoral head with narrowing of the lateral joint space. Dense calcifications are evident along the iliac and femoral arteries: besides this, the soft tissues are normal.
Result:
The data is consistent with an advanced degenerative disease

Hello doctor. I am a mother from Fier and I have a 6-year-old daughter who has developmental dysplasia. I kept her in a cast when she was 7 months old until she was one year old. I did this in Athens. Then, I took her for check-ups whenever the doctor required. Now that we have returned, I don't know where to go for her appointments. So far, things have gone well, but the doctor told me to have her checked at least once a year. Can I get in touch with you, because I don't know how long this information has been on the internet and if you are still working there, as you seem to be the most professional, at least from what is written there. Please respond!

Hello Eglantina! From what I understand, your child has been treated and it's only about ongoing periodic check-ups now. You can come to the Military Hospital any day of the week in the morning except Wednesdays. My number is 0682000259

Doctor, greetings, I have a question. I have been diagnosed with septic arthroplasty. Is it dangerous? They have told me to undergo antibiotic therapy and to place an antibiotic spacer in the prosthesis. Should I intervene as soon as possible, or can I wait since I am quite scared? I have infections in both hip prostheses. What do you recommend, doctor?
Sent by Ermal avdiu, më 16 April 2018 në 15:09
Hello! If there is an infection, the prostheses must be removed and "spacers" (temporary prostheses) with antibiotics should be temporarily placed until the prostheses are reinstalled. This is the only way..

Hello doctor,
I was diagnosed with dislocation 26 years ago (at the age of 1). I have undergone surgery on both legs. Until today, I haven't had any problems. Now, I am 8 and a half months pregnant and one of my legs hurts when I walk (I have gained 12 kg during pregnancy). Is this related to the surgery I had on my leg when I was young? And what do you recommend regarding childbirth. Thank you very much :)

Hello!
Weight and pregnancy affect the hip joints especially when they are affected or operated on. Childbirth can also be done naturally but if the measurements of the fetus show a mismatch, then by surgery. Only your obstetrician can make this assessment. After you finish giving birth and lactation (breastfeeding), you can come to us for an X-ray check-up.
Thank you

Hello doctor, I wanted to ask you a question. I have a 4-month-old daughter and a few days ago, I noticed with the naked eye that the circles on her thighs (2 CIRCLES BECAUSE IT IS NOT HEALTHY) were not symmetrical to each other. The right leg had it slightly lower. But the girl always felt comfortable in one position because she liked it that way. Is it necessary to do an X-ray? Thank you
Sent by IRJOLA, më 08 November 2018 në 07:59
Hello!
The X-ray is done only when it is absolutely necessary and only with a request from the orthopedist. It would be good to see it to decide.
Thanks!

Hello, I wanted to ask about a problem that my mother has with her bones in the hips or lower back. She has had X-rays several times. The bones have worn down, and she is limping and in pain. She has made several visits for (lumbar spine and pelvis), but the doctors have not given her any medication, only saying that surgery is needed and a metal plate should be placed between the bones where the fluids have worn away. Please, they have not given her any medicine. I do not live in Albania, but I thank you very much for any suggestion or advice. Many people do not undergo the surgery but take medications that can improve the pain somewhat for a few years, which has also been suggested to me here where I live.
A name of a medicine or something you suggest.
Thank you,
Erjoni
