Hello! I am a 59-year-old lady. I have problems with my uterus. It prolapses and causes difficulty urinating. When I lift weights, I have pain in the lower abdomen. What would you suggest? Thank you!

Sent by Elona, më 07 October 2018 në 11:49

Hello Elona! Your problem requires a consultation and a vaginal visit in order to determine the issue, whether it's a rectocele, cystocele, or uterine prolapse. The grade needs to be determined in order to decide on further treatment

Hello doctor
Please, I have pain in the lower left side of my abdomen
I have a 5.6 cm cyst, deformation of the uterus
What can I do?

Sent by Silva, më 12 October 2019 në 01:53

Hello Silva! You need to consult with a gynecologist. You need to have an ultrasound to evaluate the cyst and its characteristics (size, contours, whether it's simple or not, with clear fluid or not, with septa...). It is checked whether the pain comes from any complication of the cyst (rupture, torsion, hemorrhage...), tumor markers are assessed and based on the data, further examinations can be done. And the method of treatment, whether medical or surgical, is decided

Hello! I am in the 13th week of my pregnancy. I had an ultrasound and the parameters came out to be CRL 65.3mm and NT 1.23mm. This is my second pregnancy, but with the first one, I had an NT of 1.16mm and it's worrying me. The problem is that I cannot move now due to the situation. Thank you

Sent by Marcela Muca , më 18 March 2020 në 10:26

Hello Marcela! The NT value of 1.23 is normal. The NT value in every pregnancy is different, it’s not the same, but in both cases, it is normal. Best regards. Wishing you a good pregnancy

Hello, doctor.
I am in week 28.
I went for a consultation and the doctor told me that my cervix has opened 5mm and I need to keep resting.
He advised me to rest, but not bed rest. And he told me that after 1 month he will give me betamethasone as a medication for the maturity of the baby's lungs. My question is, if I follow the advice, can I avoid premature birth and not take this medicine, because I am afraid it might harm the baby. Thank you very much in advance

Sent by Monda , më 23 April 2020 në 11:05

Hello Monda! Betamethasone is an injection that should be administered in case of premature birth as it helps the baby's lungs to produce surfactant. It does not harm the baby but protects it in the conditions of premature birth. As for the opening of the cervix, I believe there is a misunderstanding regarding the 5mm being kept, it means that you are almost fully dilated and are about to give birth (this is determined by a vaginal exam). If in the ultrasound the cervix is 5mm, you are to be admitted to the maternity ward and put on absolute bed rest. However, I believe there has been a misunderstanding perhaps with the terms. Best regards! Wishing you a healthy pregnancy!

Hello doctor, I am in my second trimester at 12±4 days. Yesterday, I had the measurements done and the NT was 6.4mm while the CRL was 2.1. This morning, the doctor advised me to get the test done. I am very worried because during my first pregnancy everything was very normal and I don't know now, but from reading, I fear that I might have a child with problems. I did the test but I have to wait another week with this kind of worry. Please, can you tell me if there is anything suspicious or to be concerned about?

Sent by Arxhena Brahaj, më 30 September 2020 në 16:46

Hello Arxhena! The NT value of 6.4 mm is above the NT limit value, which is 2.5 mm. In this ultrasound, the presence or absence of the nasal bone is also observed. Conducting further examinations is necessary and they will determine whether we are dealing with a problematic pregnancy or not. You need to wait for the test results. I wish you all the best and that you have a smooth pregnancy

Thank you, doctor, for your response. The nasal bone is present, and my heartbeats have come out normal

Arxhena, you need to wait for the test result. I wish you all the best and hope you don't encounter any problems. Have a good pregnancy

Hello, Doctor! I am 14 weeks and 2 days pregnant. When I went for the ultrasound, I had passed the pregnancy age to do the NT measurement.
Is this a problem?
Thank you!!

Hello doctor! I am in the 13th week of pregnancy and my cytomegalovirus IgG analysis came back positive with a value of 198.1, cytomegalovirus IgM negative 0.141, is this a problem?

Sent by Anxhela Muca, më 20 April 2022 në 14:47

Hello Anxhela! CMV IgG positive indicates that you have had the infection before and IgM negative indicates that currently in pregnancy we do not have such an infection. There is no problem for the pregnancy. I wish you a good pregnancy
