Find out who this doctor is. We Albanians should be proud to have such a doctor

Firstly, this doctor is characterized by simplicity, which makes him accessible to patients, and the other most important thing is that he is an irreplaceable specialist dedicated with passion to his field

A complete doctor. Above all, a person, very communicative, precise in his profession, calm, and convincing. It's unfortunate for Durres to have lost such a specialist and person.

You are wonderful, doctor! I haven't had a visit with you but based on the articles you've posted and the medical publications I have read, you are unparalleled. I am still quite young and I even addressed my thyroid issue in a message, I don't know if you have received it, I sent it to you under the article you posted online. Please, if possible, reply to me. Anyway, I adore to become such a famous doctor when I grow up like you, I don't know if I will achieve the goal but it really is a beautiful job being a doctor

to my daughter after the blood tests it turns out she has TSH 20, can this disease be cured

Sent by diana, më 03 April 2017 në 14:00

It must be treated continuously with thyroid gland hormones in the form of medication. The doses are changed depending on the clinical condition and the analyses

Replay from Dr. DASHAMIR GJERGJI, më 18 April 2017 në 15:52

Hello doctor! Thank you for the information. I have been treated with levothyroxine for years after being diagnosed with autoimmune hypothyroidism. I was taking 75 micrograms until April, but since the TSH analysis came out at 1.73, I slightly reduced the dose to 50 micrograms. Today, June 19, my TSH came out at 5.61. Is such an increase in TSH values normal? Should I increase the dose again?
Moreover, lately, I constantly feel pins and needles in my arms and legs and on half of my face, as well as a sort of cramp or blockage mainly in my legs. And my legs feel like they are burning but when I touch them they are not hot. Is this related to hypothyroidism? Usually, during the spring, I experience some disorder

Sent by Manjola, më 19 June 2017 në 08:20

Hello madam, generally I have tried to respond within a short period of time to the questions of various readers, this due to many commitments and the limited time of navigating in virtual communication. Regarding your question, I find only one issue and this is related to the fact that you have reduced the dose of the medication without it being necessary to do such a thing. As for the other concerns, are they more of a functional nature rather than related to the malfunctioning of your thyroid gland?

Hello doctor, I hope you are well! If you can, please reply to me! During the analyses I have done, I mean T3, T4, and TSH, the values for T3 and T4 are normal, however, the TSH value is 7.69. The doctor who guided me after checking the results told me that it is not something to worry about, so please reply to me if I should be concerned about the TSH value and if so, what do you suggest for treatment, e.g., should I go to another specialist or what should I do because I can’t stop thinking about it, it feels like I’ve become obsessed. Thank you!

Sent by Jaser, më 31 Agust 2017 në 20:16

Hello sir, regarding what you referred to me above in the form of a question, I find it unnecessary for you to worry too much. You suffer from subclinical hypothyroidism, which is nothing else but a condition between the norm and the disease of underproduction of the thyroid. In fact, you need a specialist's opinion because this condition is not always left untreated

Hello doctor. The analysis values are TSH 1.3 and anti Tpo 84. I am currently taking thyroid complex. Is it the right medication?

Sent by Naevi, më 06 September 2017 në 08:01

Hello, the right to start or change treatment for you, as for every patient, is solely with the doctor who takes care of you. The data above alone are not enough to make a more in-depth professional judgment. Do not interrupt the treatment with your doctor or pharmacist

Hello Mrs. Anila, the mother suffers from chronic Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Fortunately, this disease has not caused damage to the function of the thyroid gland, so there is no need for medication at the moment. Every 6 months, you should perform the functional thyroid tests

What do you think about my case?
Thank you very much!

Sent by Dita, më 18 December 2017 në 18:06

Hello madam, generally the values of thyroid hormones are normal, so I do not think that the complaints you mention are related to disorders of this gland. If you exclude other issues, the therapy for thyroid diseases can be re-evaluated

Hello,
My dad is suffering from lymphatic glands; he also has them in his lungs. They told him it's an infection, but they don't know exactly what it is. He has had swelling in his neck and underarm lymph nodes for two years, and they can't seem to diagnose him

Sent by ibadete, më 23 December 2017 në 10:21

Hello Mrs., the enlargement of lymph nodes in various parts of the body as well as in the lungs indicates an immune response to an external infectious agent or when there is an autoimmune disease. I believe that more in-depth examinations are required for an accurate diagnosis of the pathology, which might be TB, SARCODOSES, etc. In any case, this problem should be addressed to a Pulmonologist or a lung disease specialist

Hello, the medication you are using contains the thyroid hormone, Thyroxine. Of course, we also have such medications, even if they are not under the commercial name x for example, you might find them in form y or z. The disease you are suffering from is very widespread and we have thousands of patients who regularly use these medications here and are completely OK

Hello Doctor, I hope you are well. I wanted to ask about my mother, her ultrasound showed nodules and the report is as follows: the right lobe measures 46x25x15mm with a hyperechoic echotexture containing a 19mm hyperechoic nodule, increased intra and perinodal circulation without regional lymphadenopathy. The left lobe measures 48x21x19 mm, with a heterogeneous echotexture containing multiple hypoechoic areas, particularly in the lower part of the lobe, including a 17.5 mm heterogeneous nodule in the lateral part of the lobe with a hypoechogenic halo in its upper part. Increased intra and perinodal circulation without regional lymphadenopathy. The isthmus has an antero-posterior diameter of 3.8mm with a heterogeneous echotexture. While her blood tests came back normal but with a tendency for overproduction. Is this a big problem and does the thyroid need to be removed, or can it be treated? Thank you if you find the opportunity to respond. All the best!

Sent by esma, më 16 April 2018 në 03:39

Hello Mrs, the diagnosis in the case you refer to me is Multinodular Euthyroid Goiter. In fact, I have doubts about the thyroid function, because when you say there is a tendency, and some ultrasonographic elements talk about excess iodine, I think we need to delve deeper with examinations and then with treatment. If possible, you can bring it in for a consultation. Take care!

Replay from Dr. Shk. DASHAMIR GJERGJI, më 18 April 2018 në 08:57

Hello Doctor, it's Esma again asking about my mother. Thank you for finding the time to respond to me. I wrote to you before and you told me that she has a euthyroid multinodular goiter, and the results of her tests are these: T3 1.23, T4 11.72, and TSH 0.65. Now, my mother will undergo another surgery on her uterus, so we can't come but we will definitely visit you later. I would be very grateful if you could give me a response. Thank you!

Sent by esma, më 20 April 2018 në 03:00

Sent by Astrije, më 21 April 2018 në 03:14

Hello, the problem that your daughter has is not related to the specialty that I cover. I am an endocrinologist who deals with the treatment of diseases of the endocrine glands, or hormonal disorders. Your daughter most likely has gone through a localized infection near the enlarged lymphatic gland. It is routine for our organism to protect itself against various infections, through the lymphatic pathways, and the enlargement of the lymphatic gland is a good sign of immune defense. You should consult with an infectious disease doctor. Goodbye!

Thank you in advance

Sent by Anila, më 23 June 2018 në 11:58

I wanted to ask you something.
Three months ago, I developed a gland on the thigh area.
I went for a check-up and was told that it is a lymphatic gland and it swelled due to an infection.
I was hospitalized for a week. They treated me with antibiotics.
Then I continued the treatment at home.
I also had five injections at home.
I continued the treatment again, but I still have the gland.. how is it possible that despite all those antibiotics I took, both injections and pills, it hasn't gone away?
...
Could it be something else?

Hello doctor! I did my thyroid tests in December because my hair was falling out. TSH 4.46, ANTI-TG 29.1, ANTI-TPO 278.1. They told me it was Hashimoto's thyroiditis, and I took 1/2 of EUTHYROX 75mg every morning. In March (after 3 months), I did the tests again: TSH 3.33, FT4 8.0, ANTI-TG 22, ANTI-TPO 215.9, TG 9.1, CT 1.0. I took 1 pill of EUTHYROX 50 mg every morning. Now, I did the tests again 10 days ago (after 3 months): TSH 0.01, FT4 28.3, FT3 5.24, ANTI-TSI 2.86, TG 41.42. I don't understand what has happened, maybe I took EUTHYROX for too long? They also gave me cortisone spray for my hair. Now the doctor says I need to take methimazole for 40 days, but I'm scared to take it because I read on the internet that it has side effects, like hair loss??? Please, I'm waiting for a response from you

Sent by Ana, më 08 Agust 2018 në 21:46

Hello Mrs. Ana,
In your case, it remains to be carefully evaluated whether you need treatment or not. Other clinical elements need to be taken into consideration. If you are not suffering from any other illness and are young, I think you should not be treated

Hello doctor!
I am asking for help regarding a concern, and I would kindly request a recommendation. My mother has had type 2 diabetes for 15 years. For a few months now, she has developed some wounds under both feet. After the analyses we have done, it turns out to be an infected diabetic ulcer, and we have just started treatment for the infection, but we see that the wound has not improved at all. The doctor treating her suspects neuropathy and calcification of the blood vessels in the foot sole, and I wanted to know if there is any treatment for these two problems

Sent by valmir , më 06 July 2019 në 17:31

Hello Valmir, in these cases the treatment is primarily aimed at normalizing diabetes and specifically treating problems with blood vessels and nerves. These damages need to be corrected and treated as quickly as possible to prevent more severe damage to the diabetic foot

Hello doctor. I hope you are well. Please help me with some information regarding: I have done tests for testosterone and FSH, where the result was testosterone lower than 2 and FSH above 26. The andrologist told me that it's a problem if I plan for children. Since then, I have been undergoing endless tests and treatments, but I have not seen any improvement. Please, I need your opinion. Am I doing something wrong, and should I be followed by an endocrinologist? No doctor has told me what I should do. Reading about my case, I understand that maybe I should consult a hormone specialist. Please, I need an answer. Waiting. Thank you

Sent by Denis, më 17 July 2019 në 13:41

Hello Denis, with the average values that you have referred to, I judge that you have minor issues regarding androgen hormone levels. However, the part related to fertility needs to be assessed based on a detailed analysis of the spermogram. It is certain that testosterone deficits sooner or later reflect reproductive issues. If you want to consult an endocrinologist, you need to contact one of the clinics where the doctor works

Sent by Anxhela Ziu, më 27 Agust 2019 në 03:01

Hello Anxhela, the analysis is clear. You suffer from chronic Hashimoto's thyroiditis. The risk of this phenomenon is that over time it leads to a decrease in the function of the thyroid gland. Do not perform other analyses, but you need to be treated under these conditions that you are in

Hello doctor, I am 27 years old, I have been treated for thyroid issues for several months now, initially with TSH values at 8.2 and anti TPO at 350. After 1 month of treatment with euthyrox 50 mg, one pill a day, my TSH went down to 1.7 while anti TPO was 349. After another 3 months with euthyrox, one pill a day, and also one pill of vagostabyl in the evening (sometimes 2 a day if I wasn’t feeling well), my TSH went down to about 0.13 while anti TPO went down to 300, and I was told to continue with one pill of euthyrox, to add one pill of tirolux in the morning, and to continue with one pill of vagostabyl. Initially, I only experienced anxiety and fatigue, but recently I feel very tired all the time, I have a significant lack of concentration all the time, and very often I feel completely drained and almost like I'm about to faint, with no concentration and a heavy head. Are these recent symptoms related to my thyroid? Or should I perhaps undergo another check-up? Because for my age, I feel very bad, people often tell me it's all in my head, but it's not like that at all since I feel all of it physically first, and then I also experience it mentally.
Thank you in advance

Hello,
thanking you in advance for your response, I am presenting my concern.
I am 29 years old and have never had (to my knowledge) problems with my thyroid.
In July 2020, I did a TSH test because I had extreme fatigue for a few days and swelling of the neck on both sides. The TSH value came out to be 2.14.
Given that with the naked eye and by touching I continue to notice a swelling on the lower right side, a few days ago I had an ultrasound which resulted as follows: Nodule with necrotic degeneration inside, measuring 36x20 mm.

I emphasize that I have been feeling continuously tired for months, experiencing tightness and discomfort in the neck, weight loss, menstrual cycle irregularity, and frequent heartbeats (130 in the morning, but they gradually decrease to 80 by evening).
The endocrinologist recommended Letrox 50, 1xday, but I do not notice any difference.

I would appreciate your opinion and advice or even a consultation with you regarding my concern.
Thank you!

Hello Dr. Dashamir! I congratulate you on your work. I am a 33-year-old lady. Three months ago, I started experiencing several concerns: rapid heartbeats, anxiety, trembling hands and body, sweaty hands, shoulder pain, and then heating and burning in various parts of the body. This heat would move from the face, ears to shoulders, to the waist. When these hot flashes occurred, my temperature would go up to 37.2 then it would normalize. I had a thyroid ultrasound and it turned out very well. However, the TSH analysis at 0.33 was below normal. After a visit to the doctor, I was prescribed Unimazole and Propranolol. After a month, my TSH is 0.73, I am calmer but I continue to experience body heat. There are moments I am very calm, and then the hot flashes start, especially in one shoulder and face. Could this still be a concern from the thyroid? I emphasize that I have done all the other examinations and everything else comes out fine. Thank you! Regards!

Ever since this bloating started, I hardly eat anything, just something small from the shop when I am at school, while at home I do not eat bread or dishes at all, only some fruit, and still, I am very bloated and gaining weight. I had a general abdominal ultrasound and all my organs seemed to be in order. Could this weight gain be related to the thyroid? I am looking forward to your response

Honorable Dr. Dashamiri - Dashi from now on (with your permission). I was fortunate to contact you a few days ago for a diabetes consultation, recommended by Dr. Agron Meshi. I felt lucky in this contact, for the reason of facing not only a scholar but a person with an eloquently rich language, as professional as it is simple, achieving a "touch on the strings" in me as the newest patient, I believe. Reading the above comments, all positivity towards you, I felt "intelligent" myself because I had not been mistaken in my assessment of a single meeting. In this "market economy" system, alla Shqiptar, I have come to believe that indeed "only the nightingale sings for free", but today I saw that there are still people with so much knowledge who give professional answers - through the media...(for free). I hope that God accepts your deed and compensates you with everything good for you and your family. Once again - lucky to have met you

Hello doctor, two years ago I underwent surgery for lymph nodes in the thyroid gland and since that day I have been taking levothyroxine. However, a year ago I got pregnant and my TSH fluctuated but was generally okay. Now, after having given birth to my daughter 6 months ago, my TSH level has risen to 38.38, which is abnormally high because I did not take my medication for a week. In the last two months, I have been taking vitamins since I am breastfeeding my daughter, but when I checked the vitamin content, they were not recommended for people with thyroid problems, so I stopped taking them and resumed my medication. I am concerned if this could harm my daughter since I have not stopped breastfeeding at all. Thank you very much if you find time to answer me because this worries me a lot

Hello doctor!
I am 28 years old and during a routine check-up, I accidentally discovered a 6mm cyst in my thyroid in February last year. In June, I had a check-up and it was the same size. After some concerns that I had before (ear and neck pain), I had a check-up in October and the cyst had grown to 8.5. On the suggestion of a friend, I went to Hygea a week later and the echography showed: The right lobe with dimensions 45x18x11mm with normal ecostructure. Near the isthmus, an anechoic formation is seen with dimensions 11x5 mm with echogenic elements inside. Without intracystic vascularization. Next to it, a hypoechoic formation is seen measuring 4x1.8 mm. Intrathyroidal vascularization in Doppler with a normal aspect. The left lobe with dimensions 46x14x14mm with a normal ecostructure. On the lateral part, a heterogeneous hypoechoic nodule is seen with dimensions 6x4x3.6mm. Anteriorly, a hypoechoic nodule is seen measuring 2.5x2.5mm, inferiorly a colloidal cyst is seen measuring 3x2mm. Intrathyroidal vascularization in Doppler with a normal aspect. The isthmus with an anteroposterior diameter of 2mm. Without enlarged cervical lymph nodes and lymph nodes of pathological nature. Submandibular glands with a normal aspect.
I have done all the tests including PTH - 61.20
AC.anti-9.00
Tg-7.48
Calcitonin-2.02
Ca-9.65
K-4.60
Na-140
Cl-107
MG-2.09
and tests for thyroid function which are normal as the doctor said

Hello dear doctor. Following the blood test results
T3 - 1.13 ng/mL
T4 - 5.71 ug/dL
TSH - 4.66 uIU/mL
Anti TPO - 443.6 IU/mL
and a thyroid ultrasound with the results below,
The left lobe with normal dimensions 3.7 x 1.2 x 1.2 cm with a heterogeneous pseudonodular structure, without well-defined nodules, without cystic lesions without increased vascularization.
The right lobe with dimensions 3.8 x 1.4 x 1.5 cm with a heterogeneous pseudonodular structure, without well-defined nodules, without cystic lesions without increased vascularization.
The isthmus with a similar structure to both lobes. Changes in both thyroid lobes suggest changes in the context of thyroiditis.
There are bilateral laterocervical lymph nodes with the largest on the left 2x1 cm, with hilum, shape, and ratio preserved in the aspect of lymph nodes with inflammatory origin.
The 13-year-old girl has been diagnosed with Hashimoto's Hypothyroidism.
The doctor has prescribed a daily dose of 12.5 mg levothyroxine sodium and 100 mg iodine (potassium iodide). From what I have been informed, it is not clear to me whether the hypothyroidism is caused by Hashimoto's or by iodine deficiency, so I want to make sure that taking the iodine supplement together with levothyroxine is appropriate under these circumstances. Please understand my concern as a parent, and I would greatly appreciate a response from you as the girl has just started treatment and we want to be reassured about combining it with the iodine supplement. Should the iodine supplement be taken concurrently if treated with levothyroxine? Thank you

I have glomerulonephritis with minimal lesions which I keep under control with a protein loss of 0.5 g per day, and for which I take ramipril 5mg and simvastatin 20 mg. Hello, regarding your issues, you need to conduct a specialized assessment with the relevant colleagues to know exactly the functional status of the kidneys and blood in general. The majority of studies and opinions about Vitamin D suggest that this medication does not bring anything negative; on the contrary, it improves the progress and treatment of kidney diseases in particular
