DRUG TAKING ROUTES

Drugs are taken in various ways, such as:

• By inhalation (breathing in) (volatile substances, ether);



• By smoking (tobacco, hashish, opium);



• By snorting (heroin, cocaine);



• By swallowing (alcohol, etc);



• By mixed routes from the mouth:

• on blotter paper (LSD)

• in cookie form (hashish)

• in tablet form (amphetamines, benzodiazepines, barbiturates, ecstasy, etc)

• By rectal route (various opioid suppositories)
• By injection:
• subcutaneous (cocaine)
• intravenous (heroin, cocaine, morphine, amphetamine, barbiturates)

The intravenous route is the most sought after because it provides the additional effect, the so-called "flash". The product in direct contact with the blood, which circulates in the brain, creates a state of pleasure, explosive desire, up to orgasm, lasting a few seconds, and then continues with the impression that the addict is in a world without worries. From the standpoint of libido, there is an extremely primitive autoerotic pleasure present.
